NTR JUNIOR GETS KNOTTY
SHAADI MUBARAK:
Tollywood star NTR Junior and Lakshmi Pranathis wedding was performed by 36 vedic pujaris from East Godavari and Guntur districts.The ceremony began at 10 pm on Thursday night with Gowri Puja and went on till early hours of Friday morning.An enthusaistic NTR personally monitored the arrangements,even while participating in the ceremony.His half-brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram was spotted escorting the guests onto the stage.
STAR POWER:
Since the muhurtham was at 2.41 am,Friday morning,only close family and friends stayed back for it.The whos who of the city were spotted wishing the couple at the pre-wedding reception,much to the delight of Tollywood fans in the venue.Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy,TD Chief and NTRs uncle,C h a n d r a b a b u Naidu,BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu,Chiranjeevi with son Ramcharan Tej,superstar Mahesh Babu,actors Rajendra Prasad,Lakshmi Manchu,Krishna,Krishnam Raju,Bramhanandam,N a g a b a b u,P r a b h u,Nagarjuna with his wife Amala and son Nagachaitanya,Akkineni Nageswara Rao,Kollywood star Karthi,Naaser,Ram,Priyamani,directors S S Rajamouli,Meher Ramesh,filmmakers Suresh Babu,Shyam Prasad Reddy,Aswini Dutt et al were some of the biggies at the do.
VIVAHA BHOJANAMBU:
Most celebs gave the wedding dinner a miss due to the presence of a huge number of fans at the venue.But the ones who stayed back couldnt stop raving about the lavish spread.
In true Telugu style,the food was served on tables in pankthis and not in a buffet style.The food was served all night.Some of the highlights were the Kakinada khaja,Bobbotlu,panasa pottu kura,dosakaya avakayi guthi
vankayi,mulakkada kura,
gummadi kaya pulusu,
among other local delicacies.
BLINK AND MISS:
Since there were thousands of fans waiting to greet the couple,the staff on the stage were forced to pull each one of them off the stage,not giving fans more than 10 seconds to stand next to NTR Jr and Lakshmi Pranati.However,half way through the greeting,the tired staff,started pushing the VIPs aside too.
