The renowned music director Harris Jayaraj has an image for his innovative orchestrations. He started his compositions for films in the year 2001 with 'Minnale', a Tamil film. Most of his films are musical hits.
He composed music for Telugu films like 'Vaasu', 'Sainikudu', 'Orange' and many others. His last movie in Telugu, 'Orange' is a musical blockbuster though the movie did not fare well at the box office. He got huge applause for his compositions, and 'Rooba Rooba' stood as top one in the chartbusters for many days.
Director Shankar and Harris combination is also named as a good combo. Now the latest hit from this combination is 'Nanban' (remake of Hindi film '3 Idiots'). But nowadays he is being called as 'Copycat Harris', because two songs of 'Nanban' are on the notes of famous songs like "Namah shivaya.. Namah Shivaya.. Om Namah Shivaya" and the other one is "Chennai Super Kings" theme song. Harris Jayaraj is a talented director and copying tunes definitely may not help him in developing a bright career. Let us hope he will innovate more and do fresh songs. All the best for his 'Snehithudu' (Nanban's Telugu Version), which is having its audio release today in Hyderabad.
